My Video today will show you how to Create Your Own - Simple Masking Templates.
I used a different one to create each of the backgrounds for the above cards.
This is the Template I create in the Video. I used Acetate (Window Sheet). The die I used for the shape comes from the Hippo & Friends die set.
I decided to make three sample cards to show you. All were very quick to do and I used a different Template Shape for each one.
All the card bases for these first cards are Rich Razzleberry.
I used one of the Layering Ovals dies to cut the shape into the Template for this card.
I kept all the background colours to the Subtle Collection. This first one is Pool Party.
All the images and the sentiment come from the Special Someone stamp set. This is such an adorable set with lots of accessory pieces.
The die used for the Template this time was from the Layering Circles set.
The background here is So Saffron.
All the Critters in this stamp set are adorable and very easy to stamp using the 2-step technique.
I used Soft Sea Foam for the background.
The die used for the Template for this card came from the Layering Squares set.
This is the card I created in the Video. Because the Template is larger this time, I placed it centrally and positioned the sentiment onto the bottom of it - I know it's not straight. I thought it looked fine when I did the Video but it's obviously not - never mind :o)
I used Highland Heather for the background. This didn't look right with a Rich Razzleberry card base so I changed it to Blackberry Bliss.

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).
If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).
Blackberry Bliss card base ½ an A4 standard sheet of card
(US 8½”x 11”)
Whisper White (Inside) 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4”)
Highland Heather 14.1cm x 9.8cm (US 5¼” x 4”)
Whisper White 13.8cm x 9.5cm (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)
You will need extra Whisper White card to complete the project.
