Sailing Home - Pop Out Panel Card

Here we are with another Pop Out Panel card! These are soooo easy to do, I've added my Video below just in case you want to try one.

You can find my other Pop Out Panel cards HERE and HERE.

Today's uses the Sailing Home suite of products .... another of my favourites from the catalogue!

I stamped the Birds directly onto the White panel and then embossed it with the Subtles folder. I know I probably use this too much, but it's fabulous and I love the effect you get with it.

When the card is opened you see the gorgeous four panels inside. The middle two pop-up. I used the Stitched Ovals and the Layering Ovals for them this time ... I think they look great using the two different sizes too :o)

I used the Aqua Painter and ink pads for the colouring.

This one was created in exactly the same way as my others. I kept the middle two panels raised even when the card is flat to stop the score line bending back the wrong way once the card is open.

I used quite a lot of different products for this card, I didn't hold back at all :o) Remember that you don't have to use everything I did to create a similar card with a similar 'look'.

You can write your message on the back panel.

If you would like to have a go at making one of these, here is the Video I created for my first card ...

Over The Moon - Pop Out Panel Card

Good Morning! Today's card is another Pop Out Panel card. I had so much fun creating the one I made last week that I had to make some more :o)

You can see my Daisy Lane one HERE and there will be another one next Monday :o)

Over The Moon is one of my favourite stamp sets in the Annual Catalogue ... I love it! The images make me smile and are so cute!

I did just a little masking with the Stamparatus for the front of the card so it looks like the standing Cows are behind the one laying down :o)

The WoW factor is really the inside! I love these panels! The one under the sentiment was created by stamping with scrap bits of rubber to make it look like Cow patches.

The background paper is from the retired 6" Neutrals stack. We still sell these but the designs have now changed. I have linked the new one below.

I created the panels so that they would stay raised in the centre even if the card is laid flat. This stops the centre score line folding the wrong way and stopping the panels popping up.

NOTE: if you are in the US or use 8½" x 11" as your standard card and want to recreate this card you will need to bear a couple of things in mind .....

Each panel measures 2¾" across with the scalloped layer underneath. This is the same width as each section on the strip you glue the panels to, so I think they will probably be too wide. You could leave the Pool Party scalloped layers off and just use the white panels. Or .... you could use the Oval Stitched Shapes framelits together with the Layering Ovals. Or .... you could cut your base card and strip from 12" cardstock instead - if you did this your scoring for the strip would be 3", 6"  and 9" and not what I tell you in the Video below. I hope that helps :o)

This is the back of the card ... lots of room to write a message :o)

If you would like to see how I make this type of card, here is the Video ... I used smaller panels here so there isn't an issue with the size of them for the US :)
