Carols Of Christmas - No. 7

Ok .... don't look at the Glitter on the centre of the flowers on this card either! I said on my previous one that I had problems with remembering that I had put it there ...... well same goes for this one :o)

Even with my 'boo boo', this is a gorgeous card. I used another colour combination of Berry Burst (best colour in the whole world) and Tranquil Tide. They look fab for this Christmas card. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new colour combinations ..... you may surprise yourself! I knew these would go together, but wasn't sure for a Holiday card ... and it looks great!

The Embossing Folder used on the background is our Holly folder - just perfect for Holidays ..... if it's one you don't own, it's definitely one you'll love! :o)

More with ..... Pocketful Of Sunshine!

This was the second card I designed using the Pocketful of Sunshine bundle for my Team Training make and take this month.

This time I used the pocket as it was meant to be - for the last card it was glued flat. I slotted the map inside and added the sunglasses so that it looked like they were hooked into the top of the pocket.

I love the little pocket tab that comes with this set ... and all the cute sentiments that fit inside it!

The large sentiment is one of those in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

Carols Of Christmas - No.6

Good Morning! I have another beautiful Carols of Christmas card to share today!

I love this one! Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler is a lovely traditional Christmas colour combination.

This is my favourite of the two sentiments in this set - not because of the wording but because of the white highlights in each letter - it looks like they are all shining :o) I used the largest of our Layering Oval framelits to create the sentiment panel.

The corner cut out framelits are gorgeous! You get two of them so you only have to run them through the Big Shot twice to complete the panel. AND ... one of them will also cut out the flowers perfectly - you may want to make a mark on the one that does this, so it's easy to find when needed :o)

I used Stampin' Markers to ink up the little Holly stamp before cutting it out with another of the coordinating thinlit dies.

You may notice that the glitter in the centre of the flowers is not very neat :o) I had a few problems :o) ..... mainly with remembering that I had put it on there! I kept putting other cards on top of it before it dried .... so I added more glue .... and more glitter ..... then made the same mistake again! It's been a while since I used glitter ... especially now that we have the Wink of Stella ... so that's my excuse! Hopefully I'll get the hang of it again soon! :o)
