Rose Wonder - With Stampin' Blends

Good Morning :o) Today's card uses the beautiful Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden thinlits.

I wanted to do some colouring with the Stampin' Blends, so chose the large flower image from the set. This is such a simple card and even with all the colouring, it didn't take too long to finish.

The image was stamped using Memento Black ink and coloured with the Old Olive and Daffodil Delight combo sets. I also used just a little of the Colour Lifter to lighten some areas.

I'm not brilliant with these pens - I need to practice :o) - BUT you get great results anyway and that's what I love about them.

The sentiment and frame were stamped using Archival Black ink - this is always my 'go to' black for everything  - other than when using the Blends :o)

Baby Bear - With Sneak Peek

Today's card had another Sneak Peek product coming in our Spring / Summer catalogue on 3rd January.

The Simple Stripes embossing folder does exactly what it says on the tin :o)

I paired it with a little paper from our Delightful Daisy pack and also our gorgeous Night of Navy Gingham ribbon.

Baby Bear is a 3-step image. I work in reverse, so stamped the most detailed part in Soft Suede. Image 2 was stamped using Crumb Cake and finally the block image in Sahara Sand.

The Bow is 2-step. I started with Night of Navy and then used this again for the second step, but stamped it 'off' first to create a lighter tone. This was punched out using the Holly Berry Builder punch.

You've Got This - With Brusho Crystal Colour

Good Morning! Today's card uses the wonderful Brusho Crystal Colours again. This new product will be available to you from 3rd January in our Spring / Summer catalogue.

I used a couple of different techniques for this card. Firstly I mixed some of the Prussian Blue and Yellow with a little water in a palette to create a lovely Green. I then used the Aqua Painter to apply this to the stem and leaves.

I also mixed some of the Gamboge (orange) with a little water and painted this onto the centre of the flower.

Once the Gamboge was dry, I used my Aqua Painter to add water to all the petals of the embossed flower. I then sprinkled Yellow and Prussian Blue crystals over it. I let them do their work for a few seconds before blotting with Kitchen paper to stop the process. This gives a much more muted effect.

I used the Marbled background stamp for the So Saffron layer and a sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set.
