Detailed With Love - Sweeter

I had no idea where I was going when I began this card! My starting point was the stamped Whisper White panel. Initially, this was much bigger than shown, but I made a few mistakes and had to cut it down :o)

I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to line up all the motifs. Sadly Stampin' Up! have now retired this tool, but you can still purchase it elsewhere if you haven't got one. If you are unsure how to use this tool, I do have a Video showing you.

The background paper comes from the Tranquil Textures pack.

I used one of the new Stitched Labels framelits underneath the sentiment mat. I think these will soon become firm favourites! They are so beautiful!

The Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon was wrapped around the card three times. A separate piece was used for the knot.

Detailed With Love - Smiles

Today's card using the Detailed With Love stamp set. I also paired it with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits dies.

I used Thick Whisper White card for the base, adding a layer of Basic Black on top. I embossed the Soft Sea Foam mat using the Subtle Dynamic folder .... Oh Boy! This is so beautiful ... and subtle, just like it's name. The effect you get is very similar to Textured card stock.

I used the large die from the Springtime Impressions set to cut out two piece of Vellum. I did add some of our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the reverse of this before cutting, but the glue didn't stick too well to the Soft Sea Foam layer so I ended up adding a bit more under the sentiment panel and the Butterfly.

I cut the Butterfly twice, once in Black and again in Vellum. I layered the Vellum on top of the Black, just attaching it in the centre. The Vellum has a natural tendency to curl up at the edges, which worked perfectly for the wings.

Dandelion Wishes - Well Wishes

I have another .... very simple .... Dandelion Wishes card to share with you today.

The image and sentiment were stamped in Black ink and embossed using Clear powder.

I then used several colours of ink to sponge over the background.

I used a piece of our normal weight Whisper White card this time, so the sponging isn't as smooth as it would be using our Glossy White. I do like the slightly textured effect you get using it though :o)

I added different colours randomly over the mat, blending each as I went. When the whole thing was almost completely covered, I used a little So Saffron ink to sponge over the whole piece. This helps all the colours blend into each other a bit more.

I used Versafine Onyx Black ink for my stamping before embossing. I love this ink because you don't lose any of the fine detail with it - as you would do if stamping with Versamark and then heat embossing with Black powder.
