Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!!!

Good Morning! And welcome to the Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop!!!

If you have been following this Hop from the start you would have come to me from Abi's blog.

If you have stumbled upon my blog from another place and would like to join us from the beginning then you need to start at Helen's blog :o)

We also have a second loop running, which starts off at Joanne's blog.

The purpose of this Blog Hop is to offer inspiration for the current Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration promotion - where you get to choose for FREE one of the four limited edition stamp sets being offered when you buy £45 worth of products.

These are the cards I made using the Happy Moments stamp set. I concentrated mainly on this set for my samples but I have actually used 3 of the sets today :o)

This first card is created using the Presents and 'Happy Birthday' stamps, both from the Happy Moments stamp set and I've used Bashful Blue ink and DSP. The image is water coloured using the Aqua Brush and the Bashful Blue ink pad. I've used the Eyelet border punch and the gorgeous Bashful Blue striped grosgrain ribbon to finish it off :o)

This second card uses the beautiful Bird Cage stamp and 'Thank You' sentiment, again both from the Happy Moments stamp set. I have also used the Scalloped Oval and Large Oval punches for the sentiment.

The colours used are Taken with Teal and So Saffron. I have sponged So Saffron ink over the Bride Speciality DSP to create the background paper. This is the first time I've tried this technique and I love the result! This paper is absolutely gorgeous and I love the fact that you can colour it any which way you like :o) I have stamped the bird cage twice on this card. I cut one out and curved the image around a pencil to give it more dimension and then used silicone glue to layer it over the bottom image.

This next card was inspired by one created by the beautiful Lisa - so thank you Lisa :o)

This time I have used the pretty flowers from the Happy Moments set. Again, I've water coloured them using the ink pads - Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery. I have also used the fabulous Tea Party papers and Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. I used the Mat Pack to prick a border of holes around the image on the DSP.

My next card uses the Pretty Cake from the Happy Moments stamp set. Water coloured again using the Aqua Brush and the ink pads - Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Barely Banana and Real Red. I stamped the 'For You' sentiment all over Whisper White cardstock to create the lovely background. And I used the Pretty In Pink Taffeta ribbon to finish it off :o)

My final card uses both the Vintage Labels and the Good Neighbours stamp sets. I have stamped one of the little houses inside the Curly Label frame using Real Red and Brilliant Blue inks. The trees are stamped onto the background using Glorious Green and Chocolate Chip inks. The card was finished off with the 5/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon :o) A sweet little card, that really could be used for so many occasions :o)

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my little creations today :o) I have thoroughly enjoyed working with these stamp sets. The Whimsical Words set is just as gorgeous ... but unfortunately I haven't had time to use this one this time. These sets are really worth getting. I wish that they were going to be available on a more permanent basis, but the time is limited and after February, you will no longer be able to get them. So, if you are beginning to love them as much as I do then think about placing that order now :o) If you buy £45 worth of product from the Idea Book And Catalogue, then you get to pick one of these stamp sets for FREE! Contact me today :o) xxxx

The next step in the Blog Hop is Jo ..... enjoy!
