Friends Are Like Seashells - Beautiful Embossed Card - Video Tutorial

Today's beautiful cards were inspired by a sample in the new January to June Mini Catalogue. You can find the card on page 40 and I just had to CASE it :o)

I used the Frends Are Like Seashells stamp set and the coordinating Seaside Seashells dies together with paper from the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper pack and the Seashells 3D embossing folder.

The sample in the catalogue is pink, so I decided to create mine in blue - Seaside Spray.

The Seashell panel was die cut from Whisper White card. I then embossed it with the Seashells folder.

The colour was added using Sponge Daubers - I picked up ink directly from the ink pads. This is the card I created in the Video and I left the shells as single colours.

For the first card, above, I started with a single colour for each shell but then I added a little additional colour from the other two colours used.

The sentiment was punched out using the Everyday Label punch.

This card was created a little differently. I used another design from the same paper pack in the background, but kept it in blue.

The panel was die cut but this time I used the stamps to add the shells. I then embossed it as before. The seaweed was coloured using one of our Water Painter brushes.

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).
