CASE-ing The Catalogue - Birthday Blooms - Gift Bag


Today I am Casing a project from the new Spring / Summer catalogue. 

I have been busy making samples ready for my Launch Event next Saturday. The new catalogue contains some gorgeous project ideas and I decided to use some of them for my display.

This beautiful Gift Bag was created using the Gift Bag Punch Board. It's a 'Large' standard bag created with some of the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. You need a piece 12" long and 8" high to make this one :o)


The basic Tag was created using the Scallop Tag Topper punch. The Happy Birthday comes from the Number of Years stamp set.

I am loving the new Honeycomb embellishments! They come flat and you just open them out. They already have glue on the back, so are very easy to use :o)

You Can Create It! - UK


Welcome Back To Our Monthly Challenge!

This is the kit we got to play with in December .......


And .... This is what I created .......


There is no stamping again this month! :o) But lots of gorgeous product! 

The kit was all a bit Christmas-y, which I didn't want to do. So I decided to make a simple bag and decorate the front with the products from the kit. The bag could be used for any occasion :o)

The bag is a 'Large' bag created using the Gift Bag Punch Board. I used a piece of the Winter Wonderland DSP measuring 12" x 8" and followed the basic instructions on the punch board.


The flower is very simple to do. I used my 1 ¾" Scallop Circle punch and 1 ¼" Circle punch on the vellum and stacked all the pieces on top of each other. 

I then added the brad and scrunched each layer up over it. All you then have to do is gently open out the layers again to form the flower.

I added a black Candy Dot to the top of the brad.

Here is what is involved .....

Myself and the lovely Monica Gale run the You Can Create It Challenge for the UK.

Each month we will send you a little Mystery Kit containing a few Stampin' Up! supplies. The Challenge is for you to use those supplies to create a project. It could be a card, scrapbook page or any kind of 3D item.

You must use at least a part of everything we provide in the kit when you create your project. If you wish to, you can also add additional items from your own supplies. 

When you have finished your project, if you take a photo of it and send it to us .... we will showcase it on one of our blogs on the 1st day of the following month - along side our own creations for that month.

If you have a Facebook Page or if you Blog yourself, you can display it there with a link back to us if you wish to :o)

The cost of one kit for one month is £2.50. Or you can subscribe for 6 months worth of kits for the reduced cost of £12.00 (postage and packing has already been included in the above prices).

The closing date for ordering this month's kit is Sunday 10th January. 

The kits will be posted out by Saturday 16th January - at the latest. 

 You will have until Thursday 28th  to complete your project and send us a photo of it (optional).
