Design It With DSP - Blog Hop - Festive Farmhouse - Video Tutorial

Welcome to the Design It With Designer Series Paper Blog Hop!

I am excited to share projects with you created by Demonstrator friends around the world. This month we are all using the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin' Up!

I am honoured to be a part of this Design Team and love that we get this opportunity to inspire you with beautiful projects all using the same DSP! Make sure you check out all the Blogs (list at the bottom) and enjoy all of the wonderful projects :o)

The Festive Farmhouse DSP comes in a 12" x 12" pack of 12 sheets. You get 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. The main colours used in this pack are Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Grey Granite.

Today's project is a Side-Step card using the Winter Woods stamp set .... There is a Video Tutorial below.

NOTE: You can find another version of this card with both Metric (cm) and Imperial (inch) measurements HERE.

I made three cards of the same design each using a different paper from the Festive Farmhouse pack.

I used the Winter Woods stamp set for the main Tree and sentiment and the coordinating In The Woods framelit dies for some of the die cutting.

The Santa Sleigh and Reindeer image came from the Hearts Come Home stamp set and I used a die from the Christmas Staircase thinlits set to cut out the Stars.

The right-hand side of the card is made up of three steps. I added extra panels to the back two of these to give me more 'decorating space' :o) You don't need to though, you can just decorate the steps as they are adding whatever decorative elements you wish.

I created the large Tree in two layers, stamping one in Pear Pizzazz ink and the other with Mossy Meadow ink. I cut out the Pear Pizzazz one with the outline die and the other out with the die that creates little cut sections all over - these you can 'pop up' to add dimension to your Tree.

This is the actual card that I created in the Video ...

Beautiful Blizzard - Snowflakes

Christmas in Blue again today! :o)

I used the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set for the sentiment and the Blizzard Thinlits die for all the Snowflakes.

I backed the cardstock, foil and glimmer paper with some of our Multipurpose Adhesive sheets before cutting to make the 'sticking down' clean and quick :o)

The paper comes from the 6" Subtles Designer Series paper stack.

Pretty Kitty with Buffalo Check

Pretty Kitty is such a cute stamp set, but one I haven't really had a chance to use much. I think this is my second time using it.

One of the reasons I didn't go overboard when deciding what to purchase from the Autumn / Winter catalogue this time was that I have several other stamp sets that have yet to see some love :o) I'm trying to be 'good' and have a play with each of them in the coming months - just in case they don't carry over into the next year's catalogue.

So you will see more Christmas projects from me but you will also see a scattering of others too, even when we get right up to Christmas :o)

I used Memento Black ink to stamp the image and coloured it with the Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers.

The plaid background was stamped with the Buffalo Check stamp and I used my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Marker to draw the lines through the squares.
