The Gangs All Meer - Birthday

Here we are with another card using The Gangs All Meer stamp set :o) This time I created a little scene.

This stamp set is one of the FREE products you can select with a qualifying order during our Sale-a-Bration promotion. You can find full details about this promotion under the Current Promotions tab at the top of this Blog.

I was originally going to create the card as one layer BUT I smudged the sentiment, so had to cover it up :o)

I started by stamping all the images onto my Whisper White mat. I then created masks for the Cactus, the little Meerkat and the Sun.

I used my Blending Brushes to blend Seaside Spray ink all over the sky and Sahara Sand ink onto the ground.

All the images were coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I had a reverse mask to protect my panel while I coloured the Sun. I used So Saffron all over before adding a little Pumpkin Pie. I finished with just a touch of Cherry Cobbler around the edge.

Beautiful Forever Blossoms Card - Video Tutorial

My Video Tutorial today shows you how I created these cards. The shimmer on them is beautiful. I couldn't catch it in the photos, but you can see it in the Video :o)

I used the lovely new Forever Blossoms stamp set. I do find it hard to resist floral stamp sets and there are some stunning ones in the new catalogue, but this is the one I chose to buy this time.

I stamped the image using Smoky Slate ink. I didn't want the outline to be dark or harsh and love how this one turned out.

The images are watercoloured using the ink pads and an Aqua Painter. For this first one I used Balmy Blue for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.

This is the card created in the Video. Calypso Carol is the main colour and I used Pear Pizzazz again for the leaves.

The background paper comes from the coordinating Parisian Blossoms Specialty 12" Designer Series paper pack. This paper is just gorgeous and has Champagne foiling on it.

The sentiment was stamped onto Vellum cardstock and heat embossed with Clear powder.

Our new Champagne Rhinestones added a perfect finishing touch.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

Calypso Coral card base ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

(US 8½”x 11”)

Whisper White (inside) 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Petal Pink 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Parisian Blossoms DSP 14cm x 9.6cm (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

Calypso Coral 10.8cm x 7.8cm (US 4¼” x 3 1/16”)

You will also need some Whisper White card for stamping and die cutting and also a little Cardstock Vellum.

The Gangs All Meer - Masculine Birthday Card

I am always short of Masculine birthday cards, so make them whenever I get the urge to :o) I thought this stamp set was perfect and decided to make a very quick and easy card.

I stamped the image using Early Espresso ink onto a Crumb Cake mat and coloured it very simply using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used light and dark Soft Suede and just a little dark Balmy Blue for the eyes. The ground is coloured using the light Smoky Slate.

I used the Subtle embossing folder on the image layer to add a little texture.

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday To You set.

Of course, I had to stamp and colour the inside too :o)
