Inset Double Z Fold Card - using Forever Blossoms - Video Tutorial

I used the gorgeous Forever Blossoms stamp set and the coordinating Cherry Blossoms dies for today's Video tutorial. This stamp set is so pretty!

I also combined it with the equally gorgeous Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series paper which has Champagne foil accents on most of the sheets.

I really enjoy making Double Z Fold cards. These ones were a little different because the second 'Z' is inset from the side edges.

All the mats have been layered onto Champagne Foil which adds such an elegance to the cards.

This is the top view.

Above is the card I created in the Video. The colour combination used is Pool Party, Petal Pink and Whisper White. I reversed the colours here to those on my first card.

The sentiment was die cut using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The Champagne Foil mat behind it was cut out by hand.

I used the new Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder on the larger front mats. This is another gorgeous one!

The Rhinestones are our new ones in Champagne, a perfect finishing touch for this project.

Because these are such special cards, I had to create coordinating boxes for them. I used my 6" Square Dimensional Card Box tutorial for this ... you can find the Video for it HERE.

The cards have two layers of Flowers, but I kept to one layer for the Boxes.

Note: You can follow either metric or imperial for this project – the results will be the same

Pool Party - card base 30.5cm x 15.25cm (12” x 6”)

(Or join 2 pieces of card together to create this 6½” x 6” and 6” x 6”)

With the LONG side across the top, score down at 3” and 6”

Petal Pink – panel strip 25.4cm x 10.1cm (10” x 4”)

With the LONG side across the top, score down at 2” and 5”

Champagne Foil 14.9cm x 14.9cm (5⅞”x 5⅞”)

Parisian Blossoms DSP 14.6cm x 14.6cm (5¾” x 5¾”)

Champagne Foil (x2) 14.9cm x 7.3cm (5⅞” x 2⅞”)

Parisian Blossoms DSP (x2) 14.6cm x 7cm (5¾” x 2¾”)

Panel Strip Mats:

Champagne Foil 12.4cm x 9.9cm (4⅞”x 3⅞”)

Whisper White 12.1cm x 9.6cm (4¾” x 3¾”)

Champagne Foil 7.3cm x 9.9cm (2⅞” x 3⅞”)

Whisper White 7cm x 9.6cm (2¾” x 3¾”)

Champagne Foil 4.8cm x 9.9cm (1⅞”x 3⅞”)

Parisian Blossoms DSP 4.5cm x 9.6cm (1¾” x 3¾”)

You will also need additional Whisper White card for stamping and die cutting and a little extra Champagne Foil for the sentiment mat.

Happy Birthday To You - Centre Step Card - Video Tutorial

Today's Video shows you how I created these lovely Centre Step cards.

All the background papers used come from the Best Dressed 6" paper pack. This paper pack is fast becoming a favourite! ... the designs are beautiful.

The cards were coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Petal Pink for this one.

This is a side view of the card. If you are using 8 1/2" x 11" card, your finished version will be a little more upright and the base will be shorter.

This is the card I created in the Video. It's so pretty, I loved making it.

The front Petal Pink layer and the paper layer are each cut in one piece - I show you how to do that in the Video.

The colours used are Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink.

This is the card fully opened. I added a panel to the inside so you can write a message. Alternatively, you could add a panel to the back instead.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

Lovely Lipstick card base 28.7cm x 14.8cm (US 11” x 5½)

With the SHORT side across the TOP of your TRIMMER…

Line the RIGHT EDGE up at 3cm (US 1¼”) and

CUT from 2.5cm to 13cm (US 1” to 5¼”)

Repeat for the LEFT EDGE

With the LONG side across the TOP of your SCOREBOARD/TRIMMER…

SCORE from the TOP Edge to the first Cut Line at:

2.5cm, 5cm and 13cm (US 1”, 2” and 5¼”)

SCORE from the second Cut Line to the BOTTOM edge at:

2.5cm, 5cm and 13cm (US 1”, 2” and 5¼”)

SCORE BETWEEN the CUT LINES only at 10.5cm (US 4¼”)

SCORE at 21cm (US 8 ½”) – all the way down

Front:

Petal Pink 14.4cm x 10.1cm (US 5⅜”x 4⅛”)

Best Dressed DSP 14cm x 9.7cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Sides: Can be cut from Front ‘waste’

Petal Pink 7.6cm x 2.6cm (US 3⅛”x 1⅛”)

Best Dressed DSP 7.2cm x 2.2cm (US 3” x 1”)

Bottom:

Petal Pink 14.4cm x 7.4cm (US 5⅜”x 2⅜”)

Best Dressed DSP 14cm x 7cm (US 5¼” x 2¼”)

Inside:

Cutting the FRONT sections

CARDSTOCK

With the LONG side across the TOP of your TRIMMER…

Line the RIGHT EDGE up at 3cm (US 1¼”) and cut down to 8cm (US 3¼”)

ROTATE the cardstock anti-clockwise

Line the RIGHT EDGE up at 2.1cm (US ⅞”) and cut down to 3cm (US 1¼”)

REPOSITION with the LONG side back across the TOP of your TRIMMER…

Line the LEFT EDGE up at 3cm (US 1¼”) and cut down to 8cm (US 3¼”)

ROTATE the cardstock clockwise

Line the LEFT EDGE up at 2.1cm (US ⅞”) and cut down to 3cm (US 1¼”)
