Breathtaking Bouquet - Drop Watercolour Technique - Video Tutorial

I really enjoyed creating today's cards. I'm no watercolour expert but this technique is so easy and it gives beautiful results.

I used the Drop Watercolour technique to create these cards. You first get the card wet with clean water and then you pick up your colour and just touch it to the wet areas. The colour blooms out on the wet surface and colours your images. The Video below shows you how I did this.

This was my very first attempt and I love this card, it's my favourite of the two here. I still find creating videos a little stressful sometimes and trying to recreate anything technical doesn't always go to plan :o) I think my second card came out fine, but this one went just a little better without having to worry about all things camera while creating it :o)

I used the same colours of ink for both cards, just changing the card base for each of them.

The colours used are Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam ... with just a little Crumb Cake.

I stamped the large background stamp using my Stamparatus with Versamark ink. The image was then heat embossed with White powder.

The sentiment is from the Label Me Bold stamp set. I stamped this with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with Clear powder.

The Watercolour card I used is not from Stampin' Up! I own lots of different ones and buy them in bulk. I have linked SU's below if you are interested in it.

Here is the Video ...

Beautiful Moments - With Buffalo Check

This lovely card was created using the Beautiful Moments stamp set. I absolutely love the images in this set, but this one is my favourite.

I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The sentiment was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Clear powder. The image was then cut out using one of the Nested Labels dies and embossed using the Subtle Folder.

I used another of the dies to create the Lovely Lipstick mat that is underneath the image panel, but I adjusted the size so I made one which would give an even border all around the smaller mat. This is not how the dies were designed. If you would like to see how I did this, you will find all the details HERE.

I used the Buffalo Check stamp for the background, stamping it with Blueberry Bushel ink.

I then used the Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Write marker to add the lines through the columns.
