Mojo Monday - #90

I've tried another new challenge site today - Mojo Monday. I liked the look of the clean and simple sketch they had for this week. I made the card originally with a circular shaped sentiment (as per the sketch), but it just didn't look right .... so I had to change it. I'm still not sure I like the sentiment at the top, but it can stay there now :o)

This is the first time I've used this stamp successfully. I decided to water colour it using my aqua brush and ink pads .... and I quite like the effect, so I'll try a few more samples now :o) Water colouring is still very new to me. I've perhaps been a little heavy handed with this one, so I'll try to do it a little softer next time.

All products are Stampin' UP! apart from the white card I stamped on which is Bristol Board Extra Smooth.

Cardstock ........ Whisper White, Basic Black, Rose Red
Pattern Paper .... DSP Rose Red
Stamp Set ........ Bloomin' With Beauty, Oval All
Ink .............. Rose Red, Regal Rose
Punches .......... Scallop Oval, Large Oval

Lovely card. I love those papers and the stamp is gorgeous, very well coloured! You could always turn the sketch upside down if you're not happy and put the sentiment at the bottom, but I think it looks fine.

Hi Teri, lovely colouring! The DSP you've used looks like the flowers are standing on a tablecloth! Very pretty card.

Hi Teri. The Mojo Monday sketches are great aren't they? I love how you've used blue for the vase, it's a great contrast against the rose and lovely job on the colouring - not heavy handed at all. Sara xx
