Team Training - Swap

Last night I held my monthly Team Training meeting.

Like at all Stampin' Up! events, we each make little projects that we can then swap between us.

This was the little card I made as my swap :o)

It measures 9.5 cm squared (3 3/4") and you can get 3 full cards from one A4 sheet of card. It's the perfect size for a little 'Thank You' card.

As Crafters, I know you can relate when I say that I don't like to waste anything ...... or not much anyway. Many Crafters keep everything! I have got a little more relaxed over the years and do actually throw things away now .... little pieces of card etc :o)

The centre circular piece with the Designer Series Paper on it was one item I kept from a previous project :o) When I made my swap cards for the recent Incentive Trip, I cut apertures from the centre of my cards to create windows - these are the scrap bits from that project! Obviously, too pretty and useful to bin! :o) They have been sat on my desk for quite a few weeks now, so I decided to incorporate them into my design for these cards :o)

I cut another Whisper White Starburst using the framelits and stamped the sentiment onto the bottom of it - then layered everything else on top.

May - Scrapbook Class

This was the page we created at this month's Scrapbook class. Only one Page this time as it was a little complex.

The inspiration for this Page came from a card I spotted, created by Julie Kettlewell - which you can see here. I LOVE this card! I actually CASE'd it almost exactly for one of my Technique class cards this month :o) I thought the daffodils were so cute!

It was one of those cards that I couldn't put away and I kept returning to it. I knew I wanted to do something else with it .... and that's when this Page started to form in my head.

Now, the picture in my head was a lot busier than the Page turned out to be. I had an open gate in the centre. There was a mail box to one side too - this you could lift up the top and add some journalling inside :o) There were all different types of flowers too!

Of course, the final Page had to be simplified to get everything onto a 12"x12" sheet and also to give my ladies a chance to finish it within the class time. But I'm really happy with how it turned out anyway :o)

I haven't used the Bird or Owl punches in forever! It was so nice to get these out again to play with.

The Bunnies were created using circle punches. Their tails were created from our Filter paper.

The clouds were created using one of the framelits from the Word Bubbles set - perfect!
