Butterfly Brilliance - Small Treat/Gift Holder - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how I created these little Gift / Treat Holders.

They measure 3½" tall and wide and 1¾" deep.

For this first one I used paper from the retired Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack. The colours used for the Butterfly are Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.

I used paper from the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack for this one - again retired now. This was one of the free products available during a recent Sale-a-Bration promotion.

The colours used for the Butterfly are Fresh Freesia and Pool Party.

This is the Holder I created in the Video. The papers are from the Heart & Home Designer Series paper pack which you can find in our current Mini Catalogue.

The colours used for the Butterfly are Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight.

Measurements

Misty Moonlight                                          11” x 5¼”

 

With the LONG side across the TOP, score down at:

                                                                                 3½”, 5¼”, 8¾” and 10½”

 

Quarter Turn clockwise so the SHORT side is across the top and score down at:

                                                                                 1¾”

 

Turn back to the original LONG side and score down at:

                                                                                 4⅜” and 9⅝” BUT only to 2⅝”

 

 

Heart & Home DSP                                     12” x 3”

Butterfly Brilliance - Pinwheel Tower Card

Today I'm sharing another Pinwheel Tower card. You can a previous one with a Video Tutorial HERE.

I used the fabulous Butterfly Brilliance stamp set together with the coordinating Brilliant Wings dies to create it.

The papers are all from the Butterfly Bijou 6" Designer Series Paper pack - which is retired.

All the images were stamped in Smoky Slate ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The card is made up of four panels, one is kept plain for the message.

This card design is very simple to create - check out the VIDEO if you are interested is seeing how.

When folded flat, the card is a standard A2/A6 size and will fit into a normal size envelope.

Butterfly Brilliance - Another Pop-Up Card - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how to create these lovely Butterfly cards.

I used the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and coordinating Brilliant Wings dies to create them.

The beautiful gingham papers come from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper pack.

And ... these are more Pop-Up cards! Although, again different to my previous ones :o)

The colours used for this first card are Pale Papaya and Balmy Blue.

The sentiment comes from the Artistically Inked stamp set.

When you open the card two Butterflies 'pop-up'. This design is really simple to do, it just takes a little measuring :o)

  

This is the card I created in the Video. The colours used are Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo and Fresh Freesia.

I switched out the Butterflies for the pop-up this time.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

 

         

Basic Black card base                                    ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

Fresh Freesia                                                      14.1cm x 9.8cm           (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Pansy Petals DSP                                             13.8cm x 9.5cm           (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

 

 

Pansy Petals DSP         - Inside                    20.7cm x 14.5cm         (US 8¼” x 5¼”) 

 

Score at the halfway point (or fold)       10.35cm (US 4⅛”)

Mark with a pencil 4cm (US 2”) inwards from each side edge

Mark the centre line with a pencil 7cm (US 2¾”) down from the top edge

 

You will need extra Basic White to complete the project.
