Baby We've Grown

Our Catalogues are full of inspirational project samples for cards, bags, boxes and home decor items.

Have you ever purchased products ... a stamp set for instance ... and been stuck with what to do with it once you get it home? This happens to us all from time to time :o)

One of the easiest things to do to get your Mojo back on track is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a design from the catalogue. You could copy it exactly if you already own the products being used. You may find that as you put your project together, you 'tweak' it - just changing something small. Or you could find that your project turns out nothing like the original item once you are done!

Alternatively you may decide to copy the design of a project but instead of using the identical products you might change the stamp set or the colours.

This is what I have done to create the cute baby card shown above.

The card I CASE'd is shown on page 55 of the UK Catalogue. It uses the So Very Happy stamp set - which I don't own ..... yet :o) I liked the card layout. It's clean and simple and suits my creative style.

I used the very sweet Baby You've Grown stamp set for the main image, Chalk Lines for the background stamping and Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the words.

I changed all the colours too, but the basic design layout  is the same as the original card.

So, dear friends ..... next time your Mojo goes wandering off ..... or if you just want to try a different creative style, have a look through the Catalogues and see what you can CASE too :o)

Stars - Project Life Scrapbook Page

The second Page we completed in July's Scrapbook Class was a 'Project Life' Page.

The four small cards going across the middle of the page are the Project Life Grid cards - I decided to decorate three of these, leaving the last one mostly free for the journalling.

We used most of the same products for this page as we did for the previous one.

You can do whatever you want with the new Project Life products - I love how versatile they are! If you love 'Traditional' scrapbooking, this can easily be incorporated into the Project Life layouts :o)

Stars - Scrapbook Page

This is one of the Pages we completed in my Scrapbook class last month.

We use the new Stars masks on the corners. These stencils are an absolute bargain - only £2.75 for 2 masks. You can either have a pack with Stars & Hearts ... or Dots & Stripes.

The tiny stars were punched out using the Star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents pack. All the remaining stars were cut using the Stars framelits. These were then all embossed using various different Embossing Folders.

The little blue stars have actually been punched out of the corners on the White mat, the Bermuda Bay mat underneath then shows through. My ladies were a little worried about doing this initially, but they all did it just fine :o)

We used the Chalk Lines stamp set to stamp across the middle white mat. This is one of the new Photopolymer sets ..... and it's fabulous!!

I am loving this new format in stamps. They are so quick and simple to use. You can see exactly where you are stamping, with no need to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig. I have always been a wood mount stamper, but I would now recommend the Photopolymer to everyone! :o)
