Daisy Lane - Friendship Cards - Video Tutorial

I've called these cards Friendship cards because I think they could be used for anything - a Thank You, a Birthday or just a little Note.

You can find a Video showing how I created them below.

I used Poppy Parade as the main colour for this first card.

The Flower and Gingham Ribbon are both in Bumblebee.

All the papers used today come from the Flowers For Every Season 6" Designer Series Paper pack.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used Misty Moonlight as the main colour this time.

Several retired products were used on this card. The Gold Twine, the embellishment for the centre of the Flower and also the punch used to create the pretty border strip under the top panel.

You could use any Border punch or die to create a similar strip for your card. The centre of the Flower could be omitted or you could add another embellishment ... and although this particular Gold Trim is no longer available, there are others in both the Forever Greenery and the Wonder Of The Season combo packs.

Here is the Video ...

Daisy Lane with Honey Bee - Video Tutorial

I have some lovely Spring-like cards to share with you today :o)

I used both the Daisy Lane and Honey Bee stamp sets to create these. I also used my homemade Cloud Stencil. If you would like to see how I made this, Click HERE for the details - honestly I don't know how I've managed card making for 11+ years without having this! :o)

I used a little 'Rock n Roll' Technique to create the flowers, first inking them up in Blushing Bride and then rocking and rolling the edges of the petals onto the Melon Mambo ink pad.

You could get a similar look just by using a sponge dauber to apply the Melon Mambo ink.

I used Balmy Blue ink to create my Cloudy Sky background, first masking off the flower stems so they wouldn't get blue ink on them.

I decorated the inside of the card with one of the Flowers. I stamped the flower head twice, offsetting the second flower and then I added one of the punched flowers on top. The Clear Wink of Stella pen added a little shimmer to the centre of the flower.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for the Flowers this time.

The Bees were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Clear powder.

I used the beautiful Perennial Essence Floral Centers for the centre of the Flowers. These are wonderful adhesive back, fuzzy yellow centres that add a wonderful dimension to the flowers.
