Four Season Floral - Fold Flat Gift Bag

I showed you how to create a Christmas Fold Flat Gift Bag using the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in my previous post - you can find the details with a Video HERE.

In the Video I briefly showed you this bag. Not Christmas this time, but a Birthday one. 

I really love this set - which is really surprising because I was not fond of the paper design at all. I challenged myself to use it and I love how it came out :o)

The paper is actually from the Flowers For All Seasons 6" Designer Series Paper pack - a beautiful pack, it's just one or two designs that scare me a little :o)

The Gift Bag measures 6" wide, 6" tall and 2" deep.

Here it is folded flat.

I used the Four Seasons Floral stamp set to decorate the front panel. The images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I used the fabulous Celebration Labels dies for the front panels on both the Bag and the card. The smallest two were embossed using one of the Wrapped In Texture folders.

Perfectly Plaid - Fold Flat Gift Bag - Video Tutorial

I really like today's Video project! It's such a simple bag, but having it fold flat is what make's it special.

Fold Flat bags are so much easier to store and are less likely to be damaged, you can also store so many more of them together taking up much less space than conventional Bags.

I created two sets - at first glance, they may look the same, but I've used different designs of paper on each.

The Bag shown here is the one you can see me create in the Video below.

I used paper from the Feels Like Frost 6" Designer Series Paper pack. The Gift Bag measures 6" x 6" x 2" so I was able to use a full sheet of paper for the front.

I used the Perfectly Plaid stamp set to decorate it. The Pine Trees were stamped using Versamark and heat embossed with Silver powder.

Here it is folded flat - not the easiest thing to show in a photo :o)

I created the cards to coordinate with the Gift Bags and kept the design similar, but even simpler.

The sentiments on both the cards and the Bags were die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies.

Measurements

Night Of Navy – Front and Sides                                11” x 8”

With the LONG side across the top -      

Score at:             ½”, 2½” 8½” and 10½”

With the SHORT side across the top –    

Score at:             2” and also  at 3” but only across the SIDE SECTIONS

Turn back so the  LONG side is across the top – 

Score at:             1½” and 9½” down to the FIRST SCORE LINE

Don’t forget to score the TRIANGLE sections!

With the LONG side across the top - Score at:      2” and 3”

Night Of Navy – Handles x 2                                   11” x ½”     (29.7cm x 1.3cm)

Night Of Navy – Front Panel                                    6” x 2¼”    (15.25cm x 5.5cm)

Silver Foil (x2)                                                            6” strips     (15.25)

Ribbon approx..                                                         14”             (35cm)

You will need extra Whisper White card to complete this project.
