Team Training Day - Soda Pop Top Project

Earlier this month I held a Training Day for members of my Team.  Eight attended and we had a fabulous time :o)

This is one of the projects they completed. The bag design is one from France Martin - an amazingly talented Demo from the USA. 

I wanted to use the Twitterpated Designer Series Papers for my set (Main Catalogue, page 165), so used the colour combination of Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White - with touches of Island Indigo.

The bag and card are also decorated with the Soda Pop Tops (Spring/Summer catalogue - page 24. These were all squished using the Big Shot before decorating with images from the Collage Curios stamp set (Spring/Summer catalogue - page 24).

The background images on the bag were stamped using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (Main Catalogue, page 121). The flower on the front was created using the Blossom Punch.

All the cards fit inside the bag, together with their envelopes. It's a lovely set to give as a gift and can be adapted for many occasions.

August Project Class - Bright Blossoms

For this month's project class we created three fancy fold cards.

The colour combination used for these was Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Island Indigo and Whisper White.

This is a fancy gate fold. When closed, the image panel slots into the scallop circle frame.

The card design is a CASE from one we used for for a Make & Take project we completed at one of Stampin' Up!'s training days last year. 

The next card is a slider easel card - or a pop up slider card. This one and the next one were both found on Dawn Griffith's blog. She has made videos on how to create both of them.

The final card is a double peek a boo card :o) This is such a sweet card. When opened, the sentiments slide over to cover the flowers. A really clever design and very simple to do.

All the cards use the fabulous Bright Blossoms stamp set from the current Summer Mini Catalogue. Don't forget that you now only have a few more days to order products from this catalogue! They are only available until August 31st!

Another Win! - Image Box Kit

Last half term I was lucky enough to win the kit for this box from Sarah's blog Card Oasis . Sarah had been running giveaways every day during the week and I finally managed to win the last one :)

The box is fab! Very easy to put together. Inside it holds 6 little folders which you can use to store your stamped images. Sarah was kind enough to fill these with gorgeous little easter chick images for me :) If you haven't come across Sarah's blog before, make sure you take a look - she creates the most amazing things!!! :)

Matchbox Advent Calendar

Another project from last year. This time for my daughter to give to one of her friends. The whole thing took me hours to complete, but I loved doing it. One of my goals for this year is to get six of these made before this Christmas, so my daughter can give them to each of her gym group members and her coach.

The hardest thing about the project was finding gifts small enough to fit in the matchboxes. Nice chocolates are fairly easy to come by, but we spent weeks looking for other goodies. We finally settled on hairbands, hair slides, phone charm, key ring, mood ring and some very small crafting goodies.

Grandparents Day

This project was made using products from a recent QVC TSV from Cosmo Cricket. The children gave it to one of their Grannies for Grandparents Day last year.

I was quite pleased with the finished look, especially as it was the first time I had made anything like it. I learnt a lot during the process - especially after making lots of mistakes, that I hopefully won't repeat on the next one I do! :)
