Traveller - Birthday Card

I held my Technique's Class this week, so I have a few technique based cards to show you :o)

This one uses the wonderful Traveller stamp set. A perfect card for Vintage cards and Men's cards.

I kept the image simple, just stamping in Basic Grey ink. I used the  Festive paper piercing pack template for the Windows Frames to prick all around the edge of the white mat, after using the matching framelits to cut it out.

Gorgeous Grunge was used on the background mat and I used Four You for the sentiment :o)

The technique showcased here is embossing with Duct Tape (or Gaffer Tape).

You cover a piece of card stock with the tape and run it through your Big Shot. It's a great technique for men's cards :o)

New Catalogue Launch - Traveller Card

This was the second Project from my New Catalogue Launch last weekend.

A perfect 'man' card with a vintage feel.

The background was stamped in Early Espresso ink with the World Map stamp. This was then lightly sponged over with Crumb Cake ink, with some areas randomly sponged with So Saffron ink. The edges were then sponged with Early Espresso.

I love the effect this technique gives. I'm not very good at 'vintage' but find this method gives me results that I am very happy with :o)

I sponged the Tag in the same way, also adding a little Pool Party ink.

The Traveller stamp set is just fabulous and it contains 6 gorgeous vintage images!
