Beautiful Friendship - With The In Colours

Today's card is one I didn't think I would be showing you :o)

I used the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and all of the newest In Colours.

I didn't like it at all when I first started the stamping. I really struggle with Magenta Madness - it's just too bold a colour for me even though I love bright colours. It's quite satisfying though when I create something with it that I actually like.

I didn't stop stamping and continued to use all the In Colours - I thought I might as well finish the panel ... and then I liked it :o) It's bold and busy, but the overall effect for me is good - so I ended up using the panel in a card.

The ribbon is our Bumblebee Gingham.

The speckles were stamped using the splatter stamp from the Waterfront set.

Beautiful Friendship - So Happy

Today I'm sharing another card I created a few weeks back using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.

Again, this one is just simple stamping. I did stamp a couple of the small single blooms and cut them out by hand. These I added to the sentiment panel.

I used Memento Black ink and the splatter stamp from the Waterfront set for the speckles. I did stamp 'off' first each time I used it, so they weren't too dark.

The leaves are in Garden Green and these were stamped 'off' too before using.

Beautiful Friendship - Two Pretty Floral Cards - Video Tutorial

I created these cards using a mini One Sheet Wonder technique together with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. All this means is that I stamped a panel and then cut it up to create two card fronts when it was finished.

I used a half-sheet of Whisper White card for this ... although you could do a full sheet if you wanted to and create four panels.

I was inspired to try this technique by another British Demonstrator - Ruth Trice. Ruth is an expert ... I do not claim to be at all - this was my first go. You can find her at Artful Stampin. I watched one of her videos and she made it look so easy and beautiful that I had to give it a try.

The colours I used for this first pair are So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz.

I was quite pleased with my Yellow cards, so decided to add more colours for my second go. This time I used Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.

I also used the splatter stamp from the Waterfront set and Sahara Sand ink all over the panels.

While playing I created several panels. I was happy with all of them so had to make some more up as cards :o)

The colours used here are Blushing Bride, Seaside Spray, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz. Sahara Sand was again used for the splatters.

The sentiment comes from the Borders Abound stamp set and was die cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies.

These are the cards I created in the Video. I used exactly the same colours as for the previous cards shown above.

The ribbon is our beautiful Metallic Ribbon in Seaside Spray.

This is such a lovely and simple technique to try. I haven't created any panels yet that I don't like and wouldn't make up into cards ... there are some I like more than others though! :o)

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

Whisper White ½ standard sheet of card

This will be cut down after stamping to 13.8cm x 9.5cm (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”) x2

Basic Black card base ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

(US 8½”x 11”)

Whisper White (inside) 14.1cm x 9.8cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Pear Pizzazz 14.1cm x 9.8cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Ribbon approx. 28cm (US 11”)

You will need extra Whisper White and Basic Black card to complete the project.
