Petal Cone Die - 3

I have more Petal Cone projects to show you today .....

For this first one, you need to cut 2 Petal Cones. The round flaps were removed from one of them before gluing them both together - one on top of the other, so they remain flat. This produces a lovely little treat holder in the shape of a heart :o) It would be perfect for a Valentine, Mother's Day, Wedding or Engagement gift ...... or in fact for any occasion.

Another Take Out box. This one has been decorated with the lovely Blossom Party die from the current Spring Mini Catalogue.

The Spring Mini only has another couple of weeks left to run now. After that time you will not be able to purchase the products featured in it. If there are still items that you HAVE to get - think about placing your order very soon :o)

More Petal Cone ...... Book Mark

Another project created using Stampin' Up's exclusive Petal Cone die. This Book Mark is such a simple project to make.

You need to cut 1 full Petal Cone for the case ...... and 1 half Petal Cone for the Book Mark.

Decorate the half Petal Cone to make a pretty Book Mark. I used the Fun Flowers Die for mine - which is another Stampin' Up! exclusive die. I secured it with Dimensionals, just at the top - so I can hook the Book Mark over my page :o)

Fold the full Petal Cone in half and secure by gluing along the side tab - again decorate as required.

The colour combination used here is Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. The DSP is from the In Color 2010 - 2012 Paper Stack. The ribbon is the Pear Pizzazz Stitched-Poly ribbon.

Easter - Petal Cone

The following projects are both created using Stampin' Up's exclusive Petal Cone die. Each project needs two Petal Cones cut out - the points of which are trimmed off and an extra score line added to create the base.

When cut, the Petal Cone resembles a heart shape. Fold it down the centre of the 'heart' along the scored line. Take note of the scored line towards the top separating the flaps from the body of the Petal Cone. Line this scored line up on your trimmer at 7.5cm (approx 3") and cut off the point. Line it up again with the scored line at 5cm (appox 2") and score a new line.

Open your Petal Cone back out flat. You will see you have 3 small sections on the bottom of your Petal Cone. Remove the smallest of these on the outside edge by cutting along the scored lines - it is not needed. Then cut up between the remaining two sections - these will form the tabs for the base of your box.

The colour combination used for this little 'Take Out' box is Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight. The stamp set is the adorable Everybunny set. The image was watercoloured with the Aqua Painters and ink pads.

The ribbon used is the Daffodil Delight 1cm Taffeta.

This little Easter Basket is created in exactly the same way as the 'Take Out' box but the flaps this time have been folded in the opposite direction to create the open basket.

The colour combination this time is Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride. No stamping for this one :o) but I have used the 2011 - 2012 In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper stack to decorate the flaps and sides of the basket.

I created the handle using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. The ribbon Is the Pear Pizzazz Stitched-Poly.

The beautiful Butterflies were created using the little Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die - another exclusive one from Stampin' Up! I cut them from little bits of paper from the same DSP stack and also from some Shimmery White cardstock (page 95 main catty). The edges of all the butterflies have been daubed using either Blushing Bride or Pear Pizzazz ink.

Special Easter Class

5th Trowbridge Guides asked me to organise a crafty session for them, so last week I did a special Easter class for 20 Guides. Ages ranged from 10 to 17 and they were all absolutely brilliant! :o)

They all made 3 projects based on an Easter theme.

This first project used the Mini Milk Carton die. We used various punches to create the bunny and the carton was stamped with the Pocket Silhouette stamp set. The sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The second project used the Scallop Square die. This was scored and folded to create a little chocolate treat holder. The image and sentiment come from the Everybunny stamp set. The image was coloured using the ink pads and blender pens. It was then punched out using the new 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and layered onto a 2 1/2" Circle which was cut using the Circles 2 die.

The final project was a little Easter Basket created using the Scallop Envelope die - four pieces were joined together to create the basket. The butterflies were created using the Beautiful Butterflies die and the sentiment comes from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

The Butterflies were stamped using the Sale-a-Bration Fresh Vintage stamp set and the Papers are from the Just Add Cake DSP.

Silver Wedding Anniversary

A 25th Wedding Anniversary card to show you today :o)

This one uses the beautiful Everything Eleanor stamp set and the colour combination of Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Silver.

The Silver is provided by some of Stampin' Up!s lovely Brushed Silver card stock (page 95) and also touches of the Platinum Shimmer Paint which has been daubed onto the edges of the plaque and flowers.

The sentiment comes from a retired set - Something to Celebrate.

Sweet 16

There will be lots of Sweet 16 cards to make this year as my daughter and most of her friends turn 16.

For this card I used both the beautiful Everything Eleanor and Charming stamp sets. The background is embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder.

The papers used to make the flower are from the Cheerful Treat Designer Series Paper pack, which is one of the Hostess exclusive items in the catalogue. I used the Big Shot and the Fun Flowers die to create the flower. The Little Leaves sizzlit finishes it off perfectly.

The Colour combination used is Concord Crush, Wisteris Wonder and Lucky Limeade.

February Project Class - Create A Cupcake

This month's class was based around the Create A Cupcake stamp set and matching Cupcake Builder Punch which are both in Stampin' Up's new Spring Mini Catalogue.

My ladies had the choice to either make the box as a little gift box or as a box to hold a Cupcake. The Cupcake box is made slightly differently, so you can slide a cupcake into it without getting into a mess :o)
The instructions will show you how to make both.

The project consists of the box and co-ordinating card plus two other cards. Click on the picture for a closer look :o)

The colour combination I used for this set is Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade. The Designer Series Paper is Just Add Cake.

If you would like to purchase the instructions for this set, you will find the details below. The instructions will be emailed to you as a PDF document within 48 hours ...

Pressie For A Friend .....

I made this little set for one of my lovely customer's birthdays last week. Yet again I turned to the 'You Are Loved' stamp set. It is such a pretty set and I love all the images and sentiments.

The colour combination used is Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry - beautiful colours that go together perfectly. The ribbon is now retired unfortunately, but I used it with one of our Antique Brads to create a little flower for the centre of the card.

I was really pleased with the little box. It was such a sweet size and the front panel came out exactly as I had pictured it :o)

And ...... to go inside the box ....... a little spice jar full of ribbons and bits :o) The sentiment on the tag is from the 'Clearly For You' stamp set.
