A Touch Of Elegance .... With Blackberry Bliss

My daughter asked me to make some 'pretty' boxes to hold some of the gifts she had brought her friend for her birthday :o)

I decided to go with a little elegance :o)

I started with this tall box - it's 8" high. I had already decided on Blackberry Bliss card stock.  The Gold embossing powder was still sat on my desk from another project, so I decided to try them together ..... Perfect! :o)

I used the lovely flourish from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and stamped it in Versamark before heat embossing with the Gold. This was then set onto a mat of Gold Foil. 

Of course I had the perfect ribbon to use with our Gold Satin - so tied it into a bow around the top mats.

And the contents ............... ?

As you can see ...... we definitely needed a classy box! :o)

This little gift box is just 4" by 3 1/4" - a simple box with a lid.

This one holds some hand made soap :o)

A matching card was needed, so I kept it simple .... again going for the embossed panel layered over a Gold Foil mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hey You stamp set and punched it out using the Decorative Label punch. I then punched out another from Gold Foil and cut it in half - positioning one half at the top and the other at the bottom to look like another mat.

 I coloured the Pearls with our Gold Dazzle marker.

Lauren's Birthday :o)

This is the card I made for my daughter Lauren's 17th birthday this week. It is very heavily based on a beautiful card by Gill Prescott. As soon as I saw Gill's card, I knew it would be perfect for Lauren.

I think the dual colour on the background stamp is stunning and the combination of green and pink is gorgeous ....... so thank you Gill :o)

Team - Make & Take

I have a very simple card to share with you today. This was the Make & Take we did and this month's training evening.

The colours used are Gumball Green, Melon Mambo and So Saffron.

The fabric is Twitterpated, which is not currently available BUT you will see it again in October :o)

The background is stamped in Gumball Green with one of the stamps from Everything Eleanor.

The leaves were created from Gumball Green Core'dinations cardstock and sanded just a little to give them some interest.

I wanted my ladies to have a go at using one of the new Jumbo Sticky Rounds to create a flower - you can see these on page 31 of the new Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue.

The flower is very easy to do - you tie a knot in one end and place this in the centre of the Sticky Round. You then twist the fabric and press it down around the knot, continuing until you use all the fabric. Once done, you just peel off the Sticky Round and adhere it to your project.

Silver Wedding Anniversary

A 25th Wedding Anniversary card to show you today :o)

This one uses the beautiful Everything Eleanor stamp set and the colour combination of Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Silver.

The Silver is provided by some of Stampin' Up!s lovely Brushed Silver card stock (page 95) and also touches of the Platinum Shimmer Paint which has been daubed onto the edges of the plaque and flowers.

The sentiment comes from a retired set - Something to Celebrate.

Sweet 16

There will be lots of Sweet 16 cards to make this year as my daughter and most of her friends turn 16.

For this card I used both the beautiful Everything Eleanor and Charming stamp sets. The background is embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder.

The papers used to make the flower are from the Cheerful Treat Designer Series Paper pack, which is one of the Hostess exclusive items in the catalogue. I used the Big Shot and the Fun Flowers die to create the flower. The Little Leaves sizzlit finishes it off perfectly.

The Colour combination used is Concord Crush, Wisteris Wonder and Lucky Limeade.

January Project Class - Octagon Box & Everything Eleanor

My January Project class features my Octagon box. I have used the lovely Everything Eleanor stamp set with it. The project consists of the Box with a co-ordinating card and a little 'Thank You' card.

The the colour combination is Crumb Cake, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

Passionettes - Spring Mini - Blog Hop

Welcome to the Passionettes - Spring Mini - Blog Hop!

There are 9 of the Passionettes Team posting new projects on their blogs today, all highlighting new products coming soon with Stampin' Up's fabulous new Spring Mini Catalogue. The Spring Mini starts from January 4th and will run through 'til the end of April.

I decided to use the new Blossom Party Originals Die for my projects. This die will be exclusive to Stampin' Up! It contains a mixture of different types of flowers - the perfect size for all manner of cards, scrapbook pages and 3D projects. The blossoms are also perfect for stacking on top of each other - making for lots of different possible variations in flowers :o)

All supplies Stampin'Up! unless otherwise stated

The colour combination used for all these projects is:

Real Red, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

INK: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White Craft

STAMPS: Everything Eleanor, Clearly For You

TOOLS: Big Shot, Blossom Party Die, Mini Milk Carton Die, 3/4" Circle Punch, Sponge Dauber, Crop-a-Dile

ACCESSORIES: 1/8" Very Vanilla and Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Crystal Effects

DIRECTIONS:
The base of the octagon box is created using the Mini Milk Carton die. I cut two, trimmed off the top and joined them together. I made the lid by hand, making it slightly bigger than the Milk Carton base.

All the flower layers have been sponged on the edges using a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink.

The buttons are created using circles of cardstock. I stamped the top layer using the small background stamp from Clearly For You stamp set using White Craft ink. The holes were punched out using the Crop-a-Dile. I then covered the top with Crystal Effects and when dry, threaded the Vanilla taffeta ribbon through and tied into a knot.

The above card was created as a match for the box. The only difference is that in addition, I have used the Tiny Tags and Pennant Parade stamp sets for the little sentiment tags. These were punched out using the Jewellery Tag punch.

Another quick and easy card to make using the Blossom Party die for the flowers - different ones this time. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

Finally, a couple of Thank You cards. Each has a different flower as the focal point - created using the Blossom Party die. The sentiment is again from the Curly Cute stamp set.
