Reinker Technique - Rev Up The Fun Birthday

Today's card is one I created for my Technique class this month. 

It features a Technique using Re inkers to create the background.

I used four colours all from the Subtle Collection - So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi.

Squeeze very small drops of Reinker onto a non porous sheet then spritz them with a little water. Place the cardstock down onto the ink and give it a firm press before lifting it off and allowing to dry.

I used Watercolour Paper for this, but Whisper White and Very Vanilla work well too as long as you dry them off quickly with a Heat Tool.

I love the Rev Up The Fun stamp set. It's perfect for cards for men and boys!

I stamped the motorbike straight onto the card first. I then stamped it again onto scrap card, coloured it with a Blender Pen and ink pads and cut it out. This was then added to the card using Dimensionals.

I used the little Banner Punch we had during Sale-a-Bration to create the little pennants. This Punch will soon be available again .... with our new annual catalogue in July!

Stampin' Up! - Grand Vacation! - Part 2

I forgot to tell you about the Pillow Gifts in my last post! Each evening Stampin' Up! left a gift in our cabin! This was the first .......

Two Sun Lounger Towels! These are so good! They hook over the back of the lounger and have a pocket for all your goodies in the side.

The Free Project Kit was a Paper Pumpkin kit! We haven't got these yet in the UK, but I hope we do soon!

Monday started early with a Grand Gathering of the Stampin' Up! group in one of the Theatres. 

It was a lovely morning. We were introduced to all the Business Development Managers from around the World - also all the Stampin' Up! Corporate staff on board. I know it may sound a bit stuffy ... but it wasn't at all! It was a lovely morning full of fun and laughter.

Pam Morgan gave a wonderful introduction to the new Project Life Scrapbooking products that are coming our way very soon! And, of course we heard from Shelli too!

I won a Prize Patrol!!!! This was a set of the new Project Life 12"x12" divided pages! 

I also won a prize for reciting (really, really badly) the Statement of the Heart! Honestly, I DO know it! Julie Kettlewell even pulled it up on her ipad for me just before I did it ....... and I still got it all wrong!! :o) But it was ok ....... someone from each country was picked to do it ..... and no one got it right! I think we all just blanked!!! :o)

The rest of Monday was spent exploring the ship. Julie borrowed a copy of the New Catalogue from a US Demo and we sat out by one of the bars on deck looking through it :o) There are some fabulous things on the way!

It was Formal Night for dinner and we ate 'posh' again in the main restaurant all glam'd up!

Later that night we saw another show.

This was an Ice Show based around the Monopoly Game .... and it was fabulous!

Even later that night we had a Meet & Mingle with all the other European Demonstrators and their guests.

We had a UK Group photo ..... sadly Michelle, Monica and Kerry hadn't arrived yet!

On returning to the cabin we found we had a guest watching our telly ........

Tuesday saw us visiting our first Port - Labadee in Haiti.

We spent most of the day on the beach with Julie and her lovely husband, Robin and ..... with our new Lounger towels! :o) 

The evening show was Chicago! Which was Fantastic! I loved it!

The Pillow Gift that night was a $50 reduction in our 'extras' bill!!

Stampin' Up! - Grand Vacation! - Part 1

I am back! ..... Actually I have been back for a week now. BUT, I have had the most horrendous jet lag! It's still with me, but I am slowly starting to function again now :o)

It was the most amazing trip! Every minute was precious and it was wonderful sharing it with my lovely daughter Lauren.

We arrived in Miami in the afternoon on 1st May. Three hours later! .... we were out of the airport and in a Taxi transferring to Fort Lauderdale. 

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency, Pier 66. This was the one of the views from our balcony .... nice eh?  :o) 

And this is one of the hotel, from the ship.

We spent the next two+ days going around Fort Lauderdale shopping! We visited two main malls - Sawgrass Mills, which is the largest outlet mall in the World! And a smaller mall, The Galleria. Both were fabulous and we scooped some amazing bargains!

We left the hotel on Sunday morning and transferred to the ship ..... The Allure Of The Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world! You cannot imagine how large it is, 17 decks! It's enormous!

There was quite a delay between arriving at the Port and actually boarding. I don't think we got on board until about 3.30pm - and we were starving by that time! The first afternoon flew by with eating, settling in, a safety meeting, more eating! ..... and getting our bearings on the ship. 

Stampin' Up! had even decorated the doors to the cabins! How lovely was that???

Dinner was posh the first night ... in the main restaurant. We ate early each night, so we didn't have to rush to get to the various shows we were due to see.

After dinner everyone attended the Boardwalk Bash. The whole area was closed off just for the Stampin' Up! group ... it was amazing. We had all the entertainment, shops etc all to ourselves. This was one of the displays - an ice sculpture of a mermaid with the Grand Vacation logo frozen inside ... Fabulous!

This first night, the show was the OceanAria. AMAZING! We absolutely LOVED it! Set in the outside Aqua Theatre. It included High Diving, Acrobatics, Trampolining ...... and a whole lot more!

This was my first Incentive Trip :o) In the past, I have always enjoyed seeing all the gifts everyone is given ...... so I thought I would share some of those with you today .......

Each day Stampin' Up! opened the Hospitality Area for us. This was a lovely large room where we could meet, chat and relax.

Every trip they set up a game of some sort where you can win a prize. Now, I know in the past these games have been simple ... like Plinko, Spin The Wheel etc and you cannot fail! All change for this trip though, we had Hoopla with BIG bottles and tiny hoops! Needless to say, I was rubbish at it. BUT it made no difference, you still got your prize :o)

This pic shows all the little prizes I won. It also shows the wonderful Project Life gifts that my upline - Monica - gave me at the start of the cruise! Whose a lucky girl eh???? :o) Thank you Monica!!!! xxx

I leave today for Stampin' Up!'s Incentive Trip! 

Tonight my daughter and I will be staying at Heathrow ready for our flights out to Miami tomorrow morning. 

We will be staying in Fort Lauderdale for a few days and boarding the fabulous Allure Of The Seas cruise ship on Sunday!

I still can't believe that I am actually going! :o)

My blog will be very quiet while I am away. I will not have internet access for most of the time unfortunately, so will not be trying to blog day by day. I have scheduled one post, so fingers crossed that behaves!

I will be returning on 12th May, so please check back then to see and hear all about my trip.

Incentive Trip - Swaps

Today, I thought I would share the Swaps I created for the Incentive Trip with you.

Swaps are optional for the trip, but anyone who registers needs to create 26. Stampin' Up! keep one and the other 25 are swapped with other Incentive Trip Achievers, so you come home with a lovely pile of beautiful, inspirational projects that you can use in your business :o)

I created Mini, Magic Window cards. These gradually display a hidden message or sentiment when the card is opened up. I am planning to produce a video when I am home to show you how I made these.

It was really difficult to plan these swaps without knowing which of our products would be retiring. I decided to use the Subtles DSP stack for the papers - which will hopefully be staying with us! We will find out for sure at the beginning of June.

Today the ship should be docking in Falmouth, Jamaica. We have a planned excursion booked to climb the Dunn River Falls and then come down the river in a tire!!!! I will let you know how that goes when I am home :o)

I am so looking forward to Friday when we visit Cozumel, Mexico. My daughter and I have arranged an excursion to swim with Dolphins and Manatees!
