Flower Frenzy - Scrapbook Page

This was the first Page my August Scrapbook Class created.

It was the 'quick' Page. I like to give my ladies two Pages to do each month, so if one of them is a bit complex or if I know it has a lot of elements that will take time to complete, I include a 'quickie' as the second Page :o)

The colours used here are Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding, Garden Green and Whisper White. I took the colours from the Gold Soiree Speciality Designer Papers that I used for the flower.

One of the stamps from the Hello Darling stamp set was used on the Pistachio background. This was randomly stamped using the same colour ink.

The Gold Soiree papers are gorgeous! Each sheet of this specialty paper features Metallic Gold ink! Truly Decadent! :o)

Our new Gold Satin Ribbon goes perfectly with these papers - and makes fabulous bows!

The White mat the flower sits on was cut using the Party Pennants Bigz L die. I then hand cut the Calypso Coral mat to match it.

We used the Flower Frenzy Bigz L die to cut the flower pieces.

These were layered up by size after shaping the petals of each just slightly using a Bone Folder.

The top section was cut from our Gold Foil Sheets.

Four Feathers Thank You Cards

I held my monthly Team Meeting this week and this was the Swap card I designed for it.

I always keep these simple. I never have much time and whenever possible I like to do a whole batch of 'Thank You's' altogether. That way I not only have swaps for my wonderful Team, but I have extras for my lovely customers too :o)

Four Feathers is another new stamp set from the Autumn / Winter catalogue. It has matching framelit dies and you can purchase both items together as a bundle and save 15% on the total price. However, I just used the stamps this time :o)

I have used both the smaller feathers and stamped them in Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana. This is one of my all time favourite colour combinations! I probably use it far too much, but I love it!

I wanted to keep the card as flat as possible, to keep the cost of posting down, so I stamped the sentiment in Black Stazon directly over the feathers.

I felt the card needed just a little 'more' so added a couple of sequins from the In Colour Sequin Assortment.

Petite Cafe Gift Bags

Have you spotted the new Packaging products in the Autumn / Winter catalogue yet? You can find them on pages 10 and 11.

I have used one of the Petite Cafe Gift Bags to create some Christmas Packaging :o)

You get 10 bags in a pack for £5.50 ..... and the bags are Food Safe if you want to pack some Yummies in there :o)

The bags have an in-built metal bendy closure at the top. You just need to fold the top of the bag over a couple of times and then bend the closure to the rear of the bag. This keeps it firmly closed.

I used the Banner Framelits to create Pennants from the new Trim The Tree DSP Stack. These I glued to the top of the bag.

The sentiment  is from the new Merry Everything stamp set and has been punched out using the new Note Tag Punch. These two products are available as a Bundle, so if you purchase them together you get a saving of 15% on the total price!

I attached the sentiment Tag to the Pennant with one of our Clothespins (annual catalogue - page 209). This I covered using paper from the same DSP stack.

I am loving the new Two Tone Trim. This is a lot thicker than our normal Baker's Twine. I wrapped it round the top of the bag a couple of times and tied it into a knot, then unravelled the ends to give it a frayed look :o)

Baby We've Grown

Our Catalogues are full of inspirational project samples for cards, bags, boxes and home decor items.

Have you ever purchased products ... a stamp set for instance ... and been stuck with what to do with it once you get it home? This happens to us all from time to time :o)

One of the easiest things to do to get your Mojo back on track is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a design from the catalogue. You could copy it exactly if you already own the products being used. You may find that as you put your project together, you 'tweak' it - just changing something small. Or you could find that your project turns out nothing like the original item once you are done!

Alternatively you may decide to copy the design of a project but instead of using the identical products you might change the stamp set or the colours.

This is what I have done to create the cute baby card shown above.

The card I CASE'd is shown on page 55 of the UK Catalogue. It uses the So Very Happy stamp set - which I don't own ..... yet :o) I liked the card layout. It's clean and simple and suits my creative style.

I used the very sweet Baby You've Grown stamp set for the main image, Chalk Lines for the background stamping and Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the words.

I changed all the colours too, but the basic design layout  is the same as the original card.

So, dear friends ..... next time your Mojo goes wandering off ..... or if you just want to try a different creative style, have a look through the Catalogues and see what you can CASE too :o)
