Beautiful Snow Front - Christmas Card - Video Tutorial

Today's Video cards are a favourite of mine :o) I used the Snow Front stamp set to create them.

I created them to go with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Boxes that I showed you in my previous post HERE.

I love the Waterfront stamp set that we have had for a couple of years now. This new set is in a very similar style and they would both go together very well. You can build lovely little scenes for your projects.

This was a very quick card to create. The stamping is all on one panel and was finished in no time :o)

The set doesn't include any sentiments, so I chose one from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

I cut it out using the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle dies, but made it shorter when I die cut it.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

Early Espresso card base ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

(US 8½”x 11”)

Whisper White (inside) 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Balmy Blue 14.3cm x 9.8cm (US 5¼” x 4”)

Whisper White 14cm x 9.5cm (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

You will also need more Whisper White card for stamping / die cutting the sentiment.

Mini Curvy Keepsake Box - using Snow Front - Video Tutorial

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the new Mini Curvy Keepsake Box die set! It's amazing!

The die itself is in one piece, so putting the Box together is so simple - no glue required at all! The set contains lots of other dies too so you can create Tags and other items to help you decorate your Boxes.

You can purchase the die set together with the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set for a 10% discount - or you can purchase the items individually. I got the bundle this time not only because of the little sentiments included with it but because it also contains two small background stamps that you can use to decorate the side panels with ... or anything else you choose to! :o)

Of course I had to have a little play before making the Video. It's nice to have some different samples to show you.

I used some of the Wrapped in Plaid 6" Specialty paper stack to create this first one. The die fits onto a sheet with room to spare, so that's a bonus!

I stamped one of the Trees from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and decorated it with some of our Gold Pearls.

The sentiment is one from the coordinating Tiny Keepsakes stamp set. I decorated it with the Snowflake also from that set - stamped in our new Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

Here you can see the first of those little Background stamps I mentioned. I used the Golden Glitz ink again for this.

The sentiment is from the Tiny Keepsakes set and the Shaded Spruce fronds are from the die set. And .... what about those sweet Bells??? They are new in the Autumn / Winter catalogue too.

I used the second little Background stamp for this one, stamping it with the Delicata Silvery Shimmery ink. It's difficult to see with this photo, but the Background stamp is a diagonal stripe.

The Tag was created using one of the Stitched Label dies and is held onto the Box by one of our new Mini Library Clips.

I gave my Snowman Season stamp set it's first inking to decorate the Tag and coloured him using Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers.

A couple of years ago we had a Curvy Keepsake Box die set, but this one was larger. Even though it's been retired for a while I kept mine, it's been really handy for Wedding Favours and Treat Boxes for other events.

You can see the difference in size between them in the above photo. The new Box is just the right size to hold one Ferrerro Rocher chocolate.

The Box on the left is the one I create in the Video. I photographed it with my original so you could see all around it :o)

I used the Snow Front stamp set to stamp all the side panels and create a little Tag.

Measurements

Whisper White 14.5cm x 14cm (5¾” x 5½”)

You should be able to die cut your 2 x Oval Tags from the card you have over.

Beauty & Joy - May Your Day ...

I am sharing another Beauty & Joy card with you today :o) This one is not for Christmas ... in fact it could be used for lots of different occasions.

I pulled out my Pattern Party Decorative Maskes and used the Brick one to stencil the top part of my background. I used Gray Granite ink for this.

The paper used for the bottom part of my background layer comes from the Neutrals 6" paper stack and is again Gray Granite.

I stamped the Basket in Gray Granite and the trunk of the Tree in Soft Suede. The foliage was stamped in Pear Pizzazz and the little Flowers in Roccoco Rose.

The teeny tiny pearls on the Flowers were from my retired Basic Pearls, I don't think the new packs have them that small any more - but as I have many many packs of the older ones still, I need to use mine up :o)
