Reinforced Box to hold 6" x 4" Card - using Snowman Season - Video Tutorial

Today's Video shows you how I created a Reinforced Box to hold the Double Trifold Card I showed you in Monday's post.

The finished card - with the Belly Band - measures 6" x 4 1/8", so the Box is sized accordingly.

These are the two boxes I've made so far. I had reversed the colours for my second card, so did the same for my second box.

I used Real Red for the lid here and Coastal Cabana for the base.

The image panel for the box is identical to the one used for the Belly Band on the card. I don't show the colouring for this again in today's video but if you would like to see it, check out the card video.

Measurements

Box Base: 8⅛” x 6¼”

Score on all sides at ½” and 1”

Box Lid: 8 3/16” x 6 5/16”

Score on all sides at ½” and 1”

Mats

Real Red 15.25cm x 10.4cm (6” x 4⅛”)

Let It Snow DSP 14.95cm x 10.1cm (5⅞” x 4”)

You will need additional Whisper White card for stamping and die cutting and Coastal Cabana card for die-cutting.

New Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer

I am so excited to be able to let you know that we have our new Paper Trimmer! And ... it's available to order now!

I have been using this Trimmer for the last month and it's brilliant. The Blade is much larger than the one in our previous Trimmer and it cuts like a dream! The Scoring Blade is larger too and works beautifully.

The item code you need is 152392 and the price is £23.00.

The horizontal rulers include both inches and cms and there are 3 of them, which makes lining up your card etc. very simple.

One thing to note is that the vertical ruler is only in inches. I would have liked both inches and cms but can work with this :o) However, I understand that Stampin' Up! may be able to get a metric version of the Trimmer at some time in the future or perhaps have the vertical ruler changed to include both, so if this is important to you it may be worth your while to wait for just a little bit to see what else comes up :o) I'll keep you posted!

The Trimmer comes with one cutting blade and one scoring blade. Replacement blades will be available for purchase very soon but are not available today - again I'll keep you posted.
