Lovely As A Tree - Birthday Card


This card is very much a C.A.S.E of a card I came across by Sara Hoogendoorn. 

I loved Sara's card and wanted to include it in my Technique class this month. 

We have already covered the Triple Step Stamping Technique in class and this is very similar .... but with less layers :o)

I used some temporary adhesive to position just the little white squares directly on to my Crumb Cake mat. Then I stamped the trees on top using Early Espresso ink.

The white squares are then removed and layered on to the Early Espresso mats before making up the rest of the card. Very simple to do .... but very effective.


The sentiment is from the Guy Greetings stamp set.

Team Training - Make and Take - Cutie Pie Thinlits


This was the second of the Make and Takes that my ladies created at my monthly Team Meeting last week. 

 It was my first time using these dies and I was very impressed with the little box that they create! It's simple to put together and it's very sturdy! If you make enough of them, you can create a whole cake too! :o)


I love this cute bow die that comes with it! I rounded mine off using a Bone Folder, but it looks just as lovely when squished flat :o)

Team Traning Make and Take - Sneak Peek - Party Wishes


Another new stamp set coming with the Spring / Summer catalogue in January is Party Wishes. This is a fabulous set for Birthday cards! And ...... it co-ordinates with a set of mini punches!!!

 The stamp / punch combination has changed slightly for this new catalogue. When you punch out the images, you will see you don't get the white edge around them. The images have been designed to be slightly bigger than the punches - which means that they are so much easier to line up and punch out :o)


The background paper used here is another co-ordinating product with the It's My Party Suite. It comes from a new Paper Stack - 12" x 12" in size!!! And .... it contains the most beautiful papers! The colours are lovely and bright - just perfect for Spring and Summer!

 The Baker's Twine is new too :o) This comes in a pack of two. You will received the Mint Macaron as shown and also one in Melon Mambo and Black.

 And  ..... just because I could .... I used the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the top of the candle and the tops of the cup cakes :o)

Team Training - Swap - Sneak Peek using Birthday Blooms


Last week I held my Monthly Meeting for my fabulous Dazzling Stampers Team :o)

 This was the swap that I created for each of them. It uses one of the new stamp sets coming in the Spring / Summer catalogue - which will be released in early January. The set is called Birthday Blooms and will be available in Wood and Clear mount.

 The background was stamped using the lovely grungy stamp from You've Got This.


Another new product used on this card is the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. This product is AMAZING and so beautiful! We will be stocking two of these - clear and gold. I used the clear on the flower head - but sadly I wasn't able to catch the lovely shimmer it produces with the camera.

 The image was coloured using an Aqua Painter and the ink pads.

You Can Create It! - UK


Welcome Back To Our Monthly Challenge!

This is the kit we got to play with in November .......


And .... This is what I created .......



And shockingly ........ No Stamping! I always feel 'funny' when I create a card that doesn't have any stamping ...... I guess I could have put a sentiment up there in the sky ..... but I was happy with it as is, so decided to leave it alone :o)

The little houses were cut from one of the sheets in our Home For Christmas DSP pack and glittered using our Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.


I sponged the sky using Soft Sky ink first and then went around the edges using a little Smoky Slate - this helped tie the colours together.

Here is what is involved .....

Myself and the lovely Monica Gale run the You Can Create It Challenge for the UK.

Each month we will send you a little Mystery Kit containing a few Stampin' Up! supplies. The Challenge is for you to use those supplies to create a project. It could be a card, scrapbook page or any kind of 3D item.

You must use at least a part of everything we provide in the kit when you create your project. If you wish to, you can also add additional items from your own supplies. 

When you have finished your project, if you take a photo of it and send it to us .... we will showcase it on one of our blogs on the 1st day of the following month - along side our own creations for that month.

If you have a Facebook Page or if you Blog yourself, you can display it there with a link back to us if you wish to :o)

The cost of one kit for one month is £2.50. Or you can subscribe for 6 months worth of kits for the reduced cost of £12.00 (postage and packing has already been included in the above prices).

The closing date for ordering this month's kit is Thursday 10th December. 

The kits will be posted out by Wednesday 16th December - at the latest. 

 You will have until Monday 28th  to complete your project and send us a photo of it (optional).
