Detailed Baubles - Gift Box

Today's project is this beautiful, very large Gift Box.

It measures 6½" square and is 4" tall. I wanted to cover the sides with the lovely stitched stripe paper from the same set, but sadly I didn't have quite enough left - so I kept the bottom of the box completely plain. The paper is from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series paper pack. Not Christmas paper, but I think it still works for the Holidays :o)

The base of the box was cut from our standard Night of Navy card but I had to use a 12" x 12" sheet to cut the lid.

The beautiful Silver Foil circular frame was cut using one of the Detailed Baubles thinlits dies. I cut the centre circle from Glimmer card.

The sentiment comes from the Warm Hearted hostess stamp set.  I stamped this using my Stamparatus with Night of Navy ink and then again over the top using Versamark ink. This was then embossed using Clear powder.

And ... this is what the box will hold - four large Christmas Tree Ornaments. My daughter is giving these to her friend as a gift.

I created dividers inside the box to stop the Baubles moving about. They are glass and very fragile, so I didn't want them breaking.

The dividers are half the height of the box. I have one going the full length and then two shorter ones dividing the sections into four.

Simple Christmas Card Using Dashing Deer

Good Morning! Today I am back with another Dashing Deer card! :o) This really is my current favourite Christmas set!

This card is very simple. I used it as my Make & Take for a recent Party. 

I took the colour combination from the colours used in the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series paper pack used for the background panel. Mossy Meadow isn't actually used in the sheet I picked, but it is used throughout the pack.

I used two very thin strips of the Gold Glimmer at the top and bottom of the stamped panel. Before cutting these I backed the Glimmer with some of our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. This made sticking them down very clean and simple - no messy fingers!

Lindt Mini Teddy - Treat Holder - Video Tutorial

Today's Video Tutorial shows you how to create this cute Treat Holder. 

For most of these, I used papers from the Dashing Along Designer Series paper pack. These papers were part of a Hostess Promotion back in the Summer, but are now available to buy.

The pack contains 12 sheets of 3 double-sided designs - you get 4 sheets of each and they are 12" x 12". The item code is 149903.

The little Gold Bows on the top of each Holder are the Mini Gift Bows. These are a retired product BUT they are currently still available on the UK Clearance Rack at a really great price! I don't know how long they will last tho!

I used a mix of the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine and Real Red Solid Ribbon to decorate them.

This is the little Treat Holder I make in the Video. I used paper from the Joyous Noel Designer Series paper pack - sadly these papers are now all Sold Out :o( But you could use any paper you have to make them :o)

I used a length of the Braided Linen Trim to decorate the front of the box.

The box opens at the top. To create the little window that the Teddy peeks out of, I used one of the dies from the Coffee Cups framelits set. You could, however, use any small die you have.
