Create Your Own - Grass Stencils - Video Tutorial

I have another Create Your Own Video today showing you how I made my Grass stencils.

I show you two different methods of creating them - with a die and also by hand cutting.

The hand cutting method is a little tricky and you may need a little practice before you get any usable results - I know I did :o)

Here is the Video ...

Best Dressed - with Happy Birthday To You

I used the Best Dressed 6" paper stack for today's card.

The images were all cut from various sheets of the paper, as were the banners.

I used one of the Stitched Shapes Circle dies to cut out the focal panel and created a mat for it by using one of the Scalloped Layering Circle dies.

The background panel was created by using one of our Basic Pattern masks. I embossed it using my die cutting machine then stencilled over it using Mint Macaron ink. I have a Video showing you how to do this HERE.

The sentiment comes from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set and was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White powder.

Painted Poppies - Using A Wreath Building Template - Video Tutorial

All the Poppy Wreaths on these cards were created using my Wreath Building Templates. You can find my original post with more information on these HERE.

I created my first Poppy wreath just playing with the templates. I liked it so much that made it into a card.

I used Poppy Parade for the red ink on this one and then over-stamped the Black outlines using Versamark Onyx Black ink. This was then Heat Embossed using Clear powder.

The Painted Poppies stamp set does not contain any sentiments, so I chose one from the Bloom & Grow set. This I Heat Embossed using White powder.

I used Rich Razzleberry ink for the Wreath this time. I did try Blackberry Bliss but it was too dark and the Black embossing didn't show up very well. I think it matches the colour on the papers really well though.

The Designer Series Papers for all the cards come from the Peaceful Poppies 12" pack.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used a 5" Template to create the Wreath - stamping first the colour layer and then the Black and heat embossing.

Painted Poppies - Birthday

I'm sharing another Painted Poppies card today! This time I wanted to use the purple papers from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series paper pack.

The flowers were created by stamping the block stamp first with Blackberry Bliss ink and then stamping the outline flower with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossing with Clear powder.

I used Blackberry Bliss for my card base and Mossy Meadow for the layer under the papers.

The Black Rhinestones used on this project are retired but you could get the same look by colouring our clear Basic Rhinestones with the Dark Basic Black Blends marker.

The sentiment is from the Botanical Bliss stamp set.
