Stampin Friends Blog Hop - What's Going On

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!

This month's theme is 'What's Going On?'. Obviously, this theme was set before the current Pandemic situation - otherwise, we might have had a lot more going on :o)

June in the Stampin' Up! world sees the release of the new Annual Catalogue and I have received and am playing with lots of new products. I haven't much else going on right now, so decided to play a bit more and create my projects this month using one of the bundles.

If you are following along with the Hop, you would have arrived from Steph's Blog.

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Katja's Blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are the projects I created for this month's Hop ...

I used the Hippo Happiness stamp set and the coordinating Hippo & Friends dies to create a Hexagonal Gift Box and coordinating card.

You can find a Video below showing you how I created the Gift Box.

This little box stands about 3½” tall and is the same size in width. The sides of the box are 2" square.

This type of box is very quick and easy to create - and it's a great shape.

The sentiment and images all came from the Hippo Happiness stamp set.

The mats used on the sides were cut using one of the dies from the Hippo & Friends set. This set is amazing! It contains outline dies for all the images plus 10 additional dies for different shaped mats and layers. It also contains dies that can be used for ribbon sliders or tags.

I kept the card very simple using the same dies and images as the box.

The front of the card base was embossed using the Dainty Diamonds folder.

Here is the Video for the Gift Box ...
