Perched In A Tree - Birthday

Today I'm sharing another simple Birthday Card created using the lovely Perched In A Tree stamp set.

This stamp set is one of our 'Christmas' offerings this year, but I prefer it for birthdays - the images work well for either :o)

The images were stamped using Soft Suede ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The sentiment comes from the Go To Greetings stamp set and the background was embossed using the Timber 3D embossing folder.

Perched In A Tree - Birthday

Today I'm sharing the first card I created using the Perched In A Tree stamp set.

Although this is a 'Christmas' set it works really well for Birthdays and I thought it would be great for a masculine birthday card :o)

I used papers from the (retired) Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper pack.

The image was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The sentiment comes from the Precious Moments stamp set.

This Birthday Piggy - Scene Card - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how I created these sweet Scene cards.

I used the This Birthday Piggy stamp set and the coordinating Playful Piggy dies.

The dies are one of six sets that were released at the start of this month ... and they are only available for this month! So you only have today to purchase them if you want them! Don't miss out as they will not be available after today!

I really enjoy making scene cards. They can be a little fiddly, but I think it's worth the effort.

The contrast colour used for this first card was Sweet Sorbet.

The sky in the background was created using one of my own Cloud stencils. You can see how I made it HERE.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used Tahitian Tide for my contrast colour this time.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches). 

         

Crumb Cake card base                   ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

Basic White (Inside)                        14.4cm x 10cm            (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Tahitian Tide                                        14.1cm x 9.8cm           (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Basic White                                          13.8cm x 9.5cm           (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

 

 

You will need additional Basic White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide card to complete the project.
