Treat Holder - using Four Season Floral and the Celebration Labels Dies - Video Tutorial

Today's Video will show you how I created these Mini Treat Holders. They are small but big enough to hold three Ferrerro Rocher Chocolates.

These would be perfect as little 'Thank You' gifts or Table Decorations for Christmas or any other occasion.

I used paper from the Flowers For Every Season 6" Designer Series Paper pack for this first Holder. The image is from the Four Season Floral stamp set and the sentiment is from the Celebration Tidings stamp set - which coordinates with the Celebration Labels dies that I used.

I used the Boho Indigo Product Medley kit to create this one.

And ... this is the Treat Holder I created in the Video. I wanted to do a Christmas one. The image is from the Four Season Floral set and the sentiment from the Celebration Tidings set. The papers are again from the Flowers For Every Season pack.

Measurements

Just Jade                                                                   5¼” x 2⅛”

Score at ½” on all sides

The Die Cut is centred at the 6” mark on the Simply Score Board …

and scored at: 5⅜” and 6⅝”

Ribbon / Twine                                                         11” approx..

You will need some Whisper White and Just Jade cardstock, Gold Foil and Flowers For Every Season DSP to complete this project.

Peony Dies - More Handbag Style Gift Bags with Faceted Sides

Yesterday I showed you a beautiful Handbag / Card set created for this month's Stampin' Friends Blog Hop. I also shared a Video showing you how to create these lovely Handbag style Gift Bags with Faceted sides. You can find all the details HERE.

Today I'm sharing the other samples I showed you briefly in the Video.

This was my prototype for this project. I used our retired Woven Threads Designer Series paper for it.

The flower was created using the Peony dies. All the pieces were cut from Vellum cardstock. I coloured the reverse using the Dark Purple Posy Stampin' Blends alcohol marker. The leaves were coloured using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow - the stamens were Mango Melody.

In the Video I show you how to create the faceted sides using cardstock, but for this sample, I used more of the paper. It isn't going to be as strong as the cardstock, but it worked out just fine :o)

I used papers from the Boho Indigo Product Medley kit for this bag ... and this time I didn't add a handle - not deliberate, I just forgot and got a little ahead of myself!

The papers in this kit are 6" square so I had to construct the Bag slightly differently this time. I cut a 6" x 2" base from Night of Navy card and attached the front and back sections (6" x 5 1/2") to it. If your paper has a directional pattern on it, then you will need to use this method to construct your Bag. In the Video I used a piece of 12" x 6" paper for the back, base and front of the Bag.

The sides and flap for the Bag are Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. I embossed these pieces using the Ornate Floral folder - which is incredibly pretty!

Instead of using Vellum for my Flower this time, I used cardstock and daubed the edges using the same colour inks. Sadly I didn't put my dauber away after using it and managed to place the Bag on top of it, so I got Navy ink all over the sides - so this Bag is no more. I really hate it when I do things like that! :o)
