Narrow Notecards Card Box - using So Hoppy Together - Video Tutorial

I have a really cute project to share with you today using the Sale-a-Bration stamp set - So Hoppy Together.

I created a little card box to contain some of Stampin' Up!'s Narrow Notecards and Envelopes. This isn't the first style of box I've created to hold these cards, you can find another project and Video Tutorial HERE.

You can find these cards on page 193 of the UK Annual Catalogue. The cards measure 11.4cm x 6.4cm (4½" x 2½") and are perfect as little notecards or 'Thank you' cards.

I wanted to use the gorgeous little Frog images again and decided to make two cards for each of the different main images, but also make each card slightly different to all the others :o) I wanted to incorporate all the Gingham Gala paper colours too, but as there are only five different colours I chose to use the Daffodil Delight twice :o)

I really enjoyed this project. It was pretty, bright and fun to do :o)

I made all the cards first. The layout of each is really simple, with just one dimensional layer for the image. Once they were all finished, I was able to work out the dimensions I needed for the box .... and this is what I am sharing with you in today's Video.

The stamp for this little Butterfly actually has him facing in the opposite direction. I wanted him to face my Frog though, so used the Mirror Image technique for the Stamparatus to create him :o) I also show you how to do this in the Video.

The box opens at the top and is simple to make.

Here is the Video ...

Thick Whisper White                                            8½" x 7¾"

Score with LONG SIDE at the top:                      2⅞",  4",  6⅞",  and 8"

Score with SHORT SIDE at the top:                    1⅛",  6⅛",  and 7¼"

Balmy Blue mat                                                      12.2cm x 6.7cm    (US 4¾" x 2⅝")
Gingham Gala DSP                                                11.8cm x 6.3cm    (US 4⅝" x 2½")

You will also need a little extra Balmy Blue and Whisper White card for the stamping/die cutting.

These are the mat sizes you need for the cards:

Balmy Blue mat                                                       11cm x 5.9cm       (US 4⅜" x 2⅜")
Gingham Gala DSP                                                 10.6cm x 5.5cm    (US 4¼" x 2¼")

For those of you who only work in METRIC - Here are the measurements you will need for scoring. The Box you create will be just slightly shorter, wider and narrower than my original Box. You will also need to adjust the mat sizes slightly for the front.

Thick Whisper White                                            21cm  x  19cm

Score with LONG SIDE at the top:                      7.5cm,  10cm,  17.5cm  and 20cm

Score with SHORT SIDE at the top:                    2.5cm,  15cm  and 17.5cm

Balmy Blue mat                                                      11.8cm x 7cm

Gingham Gala DSP                                                11.4cm x 6.6cm

Here are close-ups of the cards .....
