Basket of Blooms - 3-Panel Aperture Card - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how I created these 3-Panel Aperture cards.

This was my first inking of the lovely Basket of Blooms stamp set.

This was my 'test' card. I used Shaded Spruce - which is my favourite Stampin' Up! green - and Magenta Madness - which still scares me a little as it's so bright!

The front panel was embossed with the Hammered Metal folder.

When I haven't got a clear picture in my head of what I want to create, I always do 'test' runs. I love these two colours together, but really wasn't keen on what I did with them for the front of the card :o)

However, I love how the inside panel looks. The colours look so pretty.

I used one of my Masking Templates for the background and inked blended it with So Saffron. You can see how I created my Templates HERE.

The plant pot was coloured using Cinamon Cider.

I kept the inside of the card completely blank for this first one. If I decide to use this card I will add some flowers to the panels.

All the images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The main colours used for this second card are Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose.

I used Seaside Spray ink for the background panel. The foliage was coloured with Old Olive and the plant pot Cajun Craze.

I used a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set for the inside and added a few Blooms to the opposite panel.

I loved how this one turned out but wished I'd added Rococo Rose mats to the front under the paper and to the inside to make the flowers 'pop' more.

This is the card I created in the Video. The main colours are Mossy Meadow and Real Red. The paper is from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper pack.

Adding the extra Real Red panels really makes the Flowers stand out.

The aperture and frame were created using dies from the Celebration Labels set.

... to show you the three panels with the card standing up.

I inked the background using Pool Party.

I kept the inside the same as the second card - again I love that extra touch of red with the Real Red mat.

Here is the Video ...
