Winter Wonderland - #43 Aperture Challenge

Winter Wonderland - #42 Victorian Christmas

At Winter Wonderland this week we have a theme of 'Victorian Christmas'. There is an optional challenge of 'Distressing'.

I decided to have a go at a new technique this week. I haven't tried this before, but love the look you get with it :o) The Cracked Glass technique is really simple to do. Basically it's just adding layers of embossing powder to your image and heating it up. I think I used 4 layers on this one. When you've got it thick enough, you just put it in the freezer for half an hour or so. When you take it out, it's already cracked all over the embossing. I gently cracked it a little more and rubbed some ink over the cracking and that was it :o)

The lovely jumbo wheel I've used on the base card is called 'Very Vintage'. This is one of the new products that will be available in the Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! from 1st April.

Winter Wonderland - #41 Sketch

It's both a very sad and also exciting time at Winter Wonderland. We are losing 3 of our fabulous DT. Joey, Lesley and Teri S are all leaving us to concentrate on other things. We love these ladies so much and wish them all the very best in the future.

Winter Wonderland - #40 Monochromatic Christmas

Winter Wonderland - #11 'Twinkle Sparkle'

Another week gone ... we are getting closer and closer to the Christmas season. There's now only something like 20 weeks to go until the 'day'! Gorgeous cards again last week for our 'Winter Wonderland' theme and our sketch. Thank you to everyone who took part, it's such a pleasure to see your creations each week. I have made a card and gift bag this week. I used the Heart Bag Template from The Cutting Cafe for the bag, adapting it slightly and putting an extra flap on the top to seal the bag.

All products used are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated. For the main image on the bag and the card I cut out one of the snowflakes from the Ski Slope DSP. I then highlighted the design with a glue pen and covered it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
